INCREDIBLE 1940s wool gown! This piece is draped so beautifully with an asymmetrical hip detail and a long sash that drapes over the neck and down the back. Likely appropriated from the Saree. The draped panel can also be draped into a hood if desired. I want to emphasize that it was not likely the original intent so I'm not going to sell this as a hooded 40s piece but it certainly can be draped as such and looks phenomenal!!! There is a hidden metal zipper down the front.

Waist: 24" or possibly 25" (it did fit the dress form with a 25.5" waist but the inside waistband was a stretch to get it on)

Condition:
good but as-is vintage condition: spot right at the top of the zipper (I have not tried to wash), there is a repair at the neckline sash detail, there are bigger repairs near the hem, and small little repairs and tiny wear spots throughout (examples shown in last images) - sold as found.
